Premier League live games 27 Nov: Betting preview

A few things to consider if you want to have a bet on Sunday's live games:

Liverpool v Manchester City - City have dropped only 2 points in the Premier League this season but head to Anfield on the back of a loss to Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday. Following their only other defeat this season, also in the Champions League, City reeled off 9 straight wins scoring 33 goals in the process, so they have demonstrated an ability to recover from disappointment. Liverpool are currently unbeaten in 9 games in all competitions and are unbeaten at Anfield this season. City have not won in 8 trips to Anfield, and lost 3-0 there in April, but they have been in devastating domestic form this season, particularly on the counter attack away from home. Liverpool are rarely 2/1 to win a home game but the 13/8 available for City to win looks a good price.

Under/Over 2.5 goals - Liverpool's home fixtures average just over 2 goals per game, City's away games average over 5. City have scored a minimum of 2 goals in every domestic fixture this season and have scored 23 in 6 away matches. This game looks to have plenty of goals in it. It's 10/11 for over 2.5 goals and the 27/11 available for over 3.5 goals merits serious consideration.

Both Teams Score - 5 of 6 league games at Anfield this season have seen both teams score. 5 of City's 6 away games in the league have also seen both teams score. Liverpool have only failed to score once in the league at Anfield this season, whilst City have not failed to score in any domestic game. Strongly advise to back the 4/6 available for both teams to score.

Anytime goalscorer - Andy Carroll scored for both Newcastle and Liverpool against City last season. There have been concerns over Carroll's fitness but if he does play he will seriously test City both in open play and at the set-piece. Carroll is currently 5/2 to score anytime. I would check the teamsheet first. Sergio Aguero started on the bench in Naples on Tuesday and saw only 10 minutes action. Aguero is likely to start on Sunday. He has 10 goals in 11 league games, with 4 scored away. The 19/10 currently available for Aguero to score anytime looks good value.

Picks: 6 x singles: City win, over 2.5 goals, over 3.5 goals, both teams score, Carroll anytime (if he starts), Aguero anytime.

A few things to consider if you want to have a bet on Sunday's games:

Swansea v Aston Villa - the Swans lost at home for the first time this season when Manchester United won 1-0 at the Liberty last week. Villa, yet to win away, have managed 4 draws on their travels but were well beaten at White Hart Lane on Monday night. This game looks like being a tight, low-scoring encounter and I'm not minded to place a bet on a winner either way. The draw offers some value at 5/2 but I advise to hold off.

Under/Over 2.5 goals - there have been 10 goals in Swansea's 6 home games this season. Swansea have conceded only 2 at home and Villa have managed just 6 in 6 on their travels. A price of 5/6 is available for under 2.5 goals and I advise to get involved here.

Both Teams Score - this has only happened once at the Liberty in the Premier League this season. Villa have only kept 1 clean sheet away from home this season and kept no clean sheets away last season. 4 of Villa's 6 away games this season have seen both teams score. It's 4/5 that both teams score and 11/10 that doesn't happen. Another tough call and the advice is to leave it alone.

Picks: 1 single: under 2.5 goals.

A few things to consider if you want to have a bet on this Saturday's live games:

Arsenal v Fulham - Arsenal are now unbeaten in 9 games in all competitions and have won 5 straight in the Premier League at the Emirates. Fulham have won only once away in the Premier League this season and have never won a game at Arsenal. This is a banker home win with Arsenal rightly favoured at 4/9.

Half time/Full time - Fulham have scored only once in the first half away from home this season. Arsenal are likely to dominate this game from the off and are 11/10 to lead at half time and full time.

Only team to score - Arsenal have conceded twice in their last 5 Premier League home games, Fulham have scored in only 2 of 6 away games. It's 29/20 at William Hill that Arsenal are the only team to score in this game.

Anytime goalscorer - Unibet offer 3/4 that Robin Van Persie continues his outstanding goalscoring form and nets anytime in this game. He's scored 31 times in 29 Premier League games in 2011 and has 7 in his last 4 matches at the Emirates. You should check the teamsheet first though as it is possible Wenger may want to rest Van Persie.

Picks: 4 x singles: Arsenal win, Arsenal HT/FT, Arsenal only team to score, Van Persie anytime (if he starts).

A few things to consider if you want to have a bet on this Saturday's live games:

Stoke v Blackburn - a few weeks ago this fixture would have been a banker home win but that isn't the case based on current form. Stoke made a good start to the season but have now lost 4 Premier League games on the bounce, including defeats at home to Newcastle and QPR. 19th placed Blackburn have yet to win away this season but have managed to draw 4 of their last 5 on the road. If I had to pick a winner I would lean towards 5/6 favourites Stoke but a decent case could be made for the draw at 11/4 so it's probably best to hold off and look at other factors in this game.

Both Teams Score - Stoke have scored in their last 5 home games in the Premier League, Blackburn in their last 8 away. Both teams have scored in all 6 of Blackburn's away games this season. It's 5/6 at Skybet that both teams score.

Under/Over 2.5 goals - 14 goals have been scored in Stoke's 6 home games, 24 in Blackburn's 6 away. Stoke have only scored 10 goals this season but have played 5 of the top 7 teams. Blackburn have conceded 27. Stoke's last 2 home games have seen 9 goals and there have been 12 in Blackburn's last 2 away. It's 15/16 at Betfair for over 2.5 goals in this game and you might be tempted at the 5/2 on offer at Skybet for over 3.5 goals.

Anytime goalscorer - Jonathan Walters has scored in 4 of his last 5 at the Britannia. Unibet offer 19/10 he scores anytime on Saturday.

Picks: 3 x singles: both teams score, over 2.5 goals and Walters anytime.

Premier League live games 19 Nov: Betting preview

Norwich v Arsenal - after a shaky start to the season Arsenal are now unbeaten in 7 games in all competitions and have moved up to 7th in the league. That run includes away victories at Marseille and Chelsea. Norwich have lost only 1 of their 5 home games in the Premier League but have yet to host a side placed higher than 10th. Norwich have not won in 3 games and drew their last home game against Blackburn following the fortunate award of an injury time penalty. Arsenal are 7/10 favourites to win this game.

Both Teams Score - Norwich have scored in 9 of 11 Premier League games this season, in 4 of 5 at home. Arsenal have scored in 16 of 19 games in all competitions this season and in their last 7 games away from home. No clean sheets in 12 games for Norwich, Arsenal have not kept a clean sheet away in the Premier League since the opening day of the season. It's 4/6 that both teams score.

Under/Over 2.5 Goals - 16 goals have been scored in the 5 Premier League games at Carrow Road this season. 28 goals have been scored in Arsenal's 5 away games. It's 4/6 for over 2.5 goals in this game.

Anytime goalscorer - Robin Van Persie leads the Premier League goalscoring charts with 11 goals this season. He has 29 Premier League goals in 2011, which is also more than anyone else (Rooney next with 19). 11/10 available for Van Persie to score anytime in this game.

Swansea v Manchester United - Swansea are unbeaten at home this season and managed a creditable draw at Anfield last time out. Brendan Rodgers' side have been playing some excellent football and lie in 10th place after a good start to the season. United are unbeaten away from home and will likely pose more problems for Swansea than the 5 previous visitors this season, who were all placed in the bottom half of the table. This is likely to be a tough test for United but with Rooney well rested during the international break, United's superior quality should edge a tight game. United can be backed at 14/25 to win.

Under/Over 2.5 Goals - Swansea have conceded only once at the Liberty in 5 home games this season. Those 5 games have seen a total of just 9 goals. United have conceded 3 goals in 5 away games that have seen a total of 13 goals. United hit 5 at Bolton but have managed only 5 more in their other 4 away games. 13/12 is available for under 2.5 goals.

Picks:

4 x singles on Norwich v Arsenal: Arsenal win, both teams score, over 2.5 goals, Van Persie anytime.

2 x singles on Swansea v Man United: United win, under 2.5 goals.

1 x double: Arsenal and United to win.

Premier League live games 5 Nov: Betting preview

Some things to consider for betting on the live games this Saturday:

Newcastle v Everton - unbeaten Newcastle host an Everton team beaten in 4 of their last 5 league games. Everton were the last team to win at St. James's Park but that victory last season was their only win in 8 trips to Newcastle. 5 of those visits ended in defeat. Newcastle have won 3 of their 5 home games this season, Everton have won 2 of 4 away. Everton might be bolstered by the return of Distin, Neville and Cahill but will be without suspended Fellaini. 13/10 is available at a few firms for a Newcastle win, the draw is around the 9/4 mark with Everton generally 12/5 to win.

Both teams score - this has happened in 6 of the last 8 meetings between the sides at St. James's. Newcastle have scored in all 4 home games since the opening day of the season. Everton have scored in 3 of their 4 away games. Skybet offers 5/6 that both teams score.

Under/Over 2.5 goals - there have been 12 goals in Newcastle's 5 home games this season whilst Everton's 4 away fixtures have seen 11 goals. There have been 23 goals in the last 8 fixtures between the sides at St James's. This makes the 2.5 goals mark a marginal call and the bookies favour under at 8/11, even money for over.

Picks - my tip is the 5/6 that both teams score. I'm inclined to steer clear of other bets on this game. Form indicates a win for Newcastle but if Distin, Neville and Cahill return I think a case could be put forward for Everton to draw, or to repeat last season's win. If both Neville and Distin miss out I would move in on the Newcastle win, both teams score and over 2.5 goals in the game.

QPR v Manchester City - it will be a major surprise if 4/11 City do not win this game. QPR's 1 win from 5 home games was a fortunate victory over 9 man Chelsea. City have won 4 of their 5 away games, dropping points only at Fulham when they drew after leading 2-0.

Handicap - of the 8 away games that City have played in all competitions they have won 5 by 3 or more goals. Bet365 offers even money that City win this game starting with a handicap of -1. City should cover that handicap.

Over 2.5 goals - QPR have scored only 3 at home this season but their 10 games this season have totalled 25 goals, 17 conceded. City are scoring 4 goals per game away from home. 3/5 is available at Betfair for over 2.5 goals. The over 3.5 goals target is also likely to be hit and can be backed at 6/4.

Half Time/Full Time - City have led at half time in 4 of their 5 away games. Only Blackburn have held City at half time in a game City went on to win 4-0. QPR have led at home once at half time. City to win at half time and fulltime is even money at Unibet and Coral.

Anytime goalscorer - Aguero and Dzeko were left on the bench for City's Champions League win at Villarreal. Mancini may bring both back for this game and rest Balotelli. Unibet offers 11/10 Aguero and 6/5 Dzeko to score anytime. Balotelli is 5/4.

Picks - all those featured above: City win, City -1, City HT/FT, over 2.5 goals, over 3.5 goals, Aguero and Dzeko to score anytime (Balotelli if he starts).

Champions League matches 1 Nov: Betting preview

BATE Borisov v AC Milan - Milan won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the San Siro and probably need to win again to remain in 1st place ahead of Barca. BATE's only CL point came away at Plzen and they lost 5-0 to Barca in their 1 home game. BATE's last 2 domestic home fixtures have seen 10 goals scored in a 4-2 win and 2-2 draw. Milan drew 2-2 at Barca in their only CL fixture this term. Milan have won 3-2 and 4-3 their last 2 Serie A away fixtures. Milan are widely available at 8/13 to win this game. Over 2.5 goals is going at 4/5.

Zenit v Shakhtar - 11 goals in Zenit's 3 CL games, 9 in Shakhtar's 3 CL games. The reverse fixture ended 2-2. Zenit have 27 goals in 9 domestic fixtures. Shakhtar 11 goals in last 4 domestic fixtures. Zenit unbeaten in last 5 CL home games, winning the last 3 including a 3-1 win over Porto this season. Shakhtar have lost 3 of their last 5 CL away games, including a 2-1 defeat at Porto this season. 7/8 currently available on Betfair for over 2.5 goals in this game. Zenit can be backed at 5/6 to win.

APOEL Nicosia v FC Porto - APOEL look overpriced at 39/10 with 188Bet to win this. Unbeaten in the 3 group games so far they earned a 1-1 draw at Porto in the reverse fixture. APOEL won their only home game 2-1 v Zenit and drew 2-2 at Shakhtar. Porto's other results were a loss at Zenit and a home win v Shakhtar.

Recommend:

Milan and Zenit win double

BATE/Milan and Zenit/Shakhtar over 2.5 goals double

APOEL win single
